From the beginning of time, God has chosen to reveal His power and purpose through human vessels. He spoke through prophets, delivered nations through leaders, and spread the gospel through ordinary men and women. Whenever heaven seeks to touch earth, God looks for someone who is willing to be used.
The question is not whether God has power—He is Almighty. The real question is whether a man or woman is available. And availability is born out of desire. To be used by God, you must want it.
One of the most comforting truths is that God does not require perfection before He uses a person. Abraham lied, Moses stammered, David made mistakes, and Peter denied Jesus. Yet in their weakness, God’s strength was revealed. He delights in taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary, so that no man may boast in himself, but in God alone.
God never forces Himself on anyone. He respects human will. For Him to move through a man, there must be a heart that longs for Him, a spirit that cries out like Isaiah, “Here am I, send me.” Desire is the spark that ignites divine partnership. Without it, calling remains dormant, gifts remain hidden, and destiny remains unfulfilled.
To want it means to hunger after God’s will more than your own. It means to yearn for His kingdom to come, even if it costs you comfort. It means to pursue His presence until His purpose becomes the very reason you live.
Wanting God to use you is not a casual wish; it is a commitment. Joseph was betrayed and imprisoned before he ruled. Esther risked her life before she saved her people. Paul endured beatings and chains, yet he carried the gospel across nations. Each one discovered that being God’s instrument comes with refining, stretching, and sacrifice.
But the reward is greater than the cost. To be used by God is to become part of a story that outlives you. It is to touch lives in ways you may never fully see on this side of eternity.
God Still Seeks a Vessel.
In Ezekiel 22:30, God declared, “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap…but I found no one.” Even today, God is still searching for men and women who will stand in the gap—praying, serving, leading, and shining His light in a dark world.
The need is urgent. The world cries for truth, for hope, for healing. And heaven still asks: Who will go for us?
To be used by God is the highest honor a human being can receive. Yet it begins not with talent or position, but with a willing heart. God looks for desire—for men and women who say with conviction: “Lord, I want it. Use me.”
When you truly want it, God will shape you, equip you, and pour His Spirit upon you. And through your life, His glory will be revealed.
