Life is built on spiritual principles. God, in His wisdom, has ordained certain truths, disciplines, and patterns that keep our lives aligned with His will. Grace does not exempt us from these principles. Rather, grace enables us to walk in them faithfully.
The grace of God doesn’t suppose we can neglect what He has ordained for the alignment of our paths. Grace doesn’t call us to laziness, carelessness, or indifference. Instead, it calls us higher-to diligence, obedience, and consistency in the Spirit. When you receive grace and ignore divine order, you open the door to disorder.
Some things are only obtained in specific realms-through prayer, fasting, study of the Word, purity, or obedience. Grace will not make prayer unnecessary. Grace will not cancel holiness. Grace will not substitute consecration. Instead, it supplies the strength to do what would otherwise be impossible.
When you ignore the principles and the character of the Spirit, you are not walking in grace-you are letting go of the very hand meant to hold you firm.
Grace is not an excuse to abandon discipline, but the empowerment to uphold it.
Beloved, never be deceived. Grace and principles walk hand in hand. The Holy Spirit imparts grace, but He also trains us in the character of Christ. The deeper you embrace spiritual principles, the more you will experience the fullness of grace in your life.
Let us, therefore, walk in balance-receiving grace with humility and honoring the principles of the Spirit with reverence. For this is how paths are aligned, destinies secured, and lives transformed.
